Illuminated Christmas in Tokyo

Terrace City Illumination Shinjuku Tokyo

Tokyo Illuminated lighting Christmas Shinjuku Shibuya Japan

Continue of my previous Hokkaido trip, our final stop was Tokyo. After the late arrived from Sapporo to Tokyo, I decided to visit the amazing Christmas lights in Shibuya and Shinjuku. Both are located pretty close to the JR station. So I would like to show you how lovely these are.

SPOT 1: SHIBUYA – TERRACE CITY ILLUMINATIONS

That’s the first time I experienced Tokyo’s Christmas and everywhere is full of Christmas vibes. One of the prettiest decoration would be Shibuya Terrace City. It is located in front of Lumine2 exit in Shibuya JR station. If you exit in Lumine 1  you probably might not able to see it, so beware of the correct exit.

Everywhere is decorated with thousands of little light bulbs. Just like I entered in a Pink wonderland. I think I don’t need to say much but just show you how incredible this place was. It last until 2017 Feb 14th, so don’t miss out if you will be around even early next year! I also uploaded a vlog below showed how beautiful it was.

SPOT 2: SHIBUYA – The Blue CAVE

So Shibuya was my next spot after Shinjuku. This was a little far from Shibuya station but it takes only 10-15 mins walkway to the park. You can see there are lots of Blue trees along the way to Yoyogi Park. The tall trees were all decorated with thousands of little light bulbs! It was incredibly beautiful and seems like leading your way to Yoyogi Park. So just follow all those fairy dust to find the magical place.

After followed the blue path to Yoyogi park and soon I arrived. I can’t believe how amazing it is!! It was so blue everywhere and I thought I entered not only a Blue cave but a fairy’s wonderland. It’s hard to take pictures under those little lights as your face turn blue under the reflection. It is just breathtaking if you are actually there!! This is also a MUST visit place if you are lucky to be here before 2017 Jan 9th

OTHERS – The Melon Bread Ice-cream Sandwich

SHOP NAME: 世界で2番目においしい焼きたてメロンパンアイス

So when I head back to my hotel, I passed by the Melon Bread Ice-cream Sandwich little store on the path to Shibuya JR Station. There’s a long queue so I went to check out it looks so yummy! I thought it was quite famous so I decided to give a try.

There are 3 favours, which is Chocolate, Vanilla and Matcha. I ordered the Vanilla one it was super tasty!! You can actually taste the melon in the bread, with the hot bun and ice-cream together, it is perfect match!!! It is only 450 YEN so I think it is not pricy! So remember to give a try if you decided to visit the Blue Cave in Shibuya! There are lots of branch but this is the one in Shibuya.
