Continues my last trip in Chiangmai, we went to this restaurant without any planning on our last day, just to find a place that could spend our time for the delayed flight for almost 7 hours! What a nightmare! However because of this delayed, we decided to look for some new dining place that’s close to our hotel.
We have no idea what kind of food they offer but the gorgeous building was attractive enough for me to look into their menu. There are various kinds of Thai food with reasonable prices. Just a sneak peak from the exterior you can either sit outside and inside. So let’s see how’s the interior look and feel.
We were welcomed by their staff with such a friendly smile on their face and they were so attentive. We have to sit interior as the outer seats are full. The restaurant is huge and have a very beautiful environment. There’s a cafe bar on the side and in the middle there’s a long table. I love the interior decoration and obviously this have been well designed. It is so stylish yet tradition with the leak wood Chiangmai design. The lighting of the store is very soft and made us feel so relax to spend our time for our delayed flight! Guess we found a perfect dining place. How exciting this was in such an unexpected situation!
The Food
As mentioned there are various choices in the menu. We ordered Soft boiled shrimp with sauce and Dried pork soup to start with, also we ordered braised pork belly for our main dish. Since we aren’t so hungry but just to spend a late night for our delayed flight. So the portion are enough for us. We also ordered Lychee Shake ( which is my favorite) and Passion fruit Shake for my hubby.
Overall the food were simply delicious. My favorite of the four items would be the braised pork belly, it was very soft and belt in your mouth. With the two boiled eggs on top for a little highlight of the dish. The pork soup was good to order but not a must. I also love the soft boiled shrimp with the Tong Yam Sauce. It’s a bit chilly and sour, also love how they add the little sour of a little piece lemon. Lastly we ordered the mixed seasonal fruit as our dessert as a perfect ending of our dinner. It was so fresh and yummy.
Thevaros served not just authentic Thai food but also the attentive service and comfy environment. It cost us only 730 THB in total include beverages. With such a beautiful environment and tasty food, I highly recommend any of you to give a try for Theavros as it is unlike usual Thai restaurant. Everything is so great and I guess the price is a bit surprise as it cost a lower than what they provide.
